Baby Z Still Cozy in Mommy's Belly...

Our due date has come, and almost gone, and still no Baby Nathan/Anna. This little babe is still hangin' out in my belly and having a great ole' time! It's been a blessing really because I've had mild bronchitis for the past 2 weeks and just finished an antibiotic. We just trust that God's timing is better than ours and this baby will come when he or she is ready.

....For those who care, yes I'm having some good surges (Our Hypnobirthing lingo for "contractions" - which is what we're using - you can Google it, it's great!) Hopefully this babe will be meeting us very soon! We'll keep you updated either via phone, text, or blog. Please pray for us and a wonderful birth!

Baby Schreiber Waits Patiently for His New Friend

Little Hudson is more excited than we are to get Baby Zumbiel here! He needs a new buddy to hang out with (Unless it's Anna - Matt says she's off limits til age 27). We enjoyed LaRosa's tonight at the Schreiber's and thanks to Ben, we have a safer car seat after his experienced installation lesson. We're counting down the days and praying that next time we see you includes our baby in our arms! Thanks for all of the expert parent advice!

Noah's Ark Nursery is Complete!

Yeah! We finally finished the baby's room this weekend. We had to hang the blinds, valance, shelves, and cross. It is just perfect and what I always dreamed our baby's room would look like. I find myself constantly peeking in just to admire it! Look how Matt arranged the stuffed animals - aren't they adorable hugging each other?! We can't wait for little Baby Z to finally lay his or her tiny head in the crib.....38 weeks and popping!

Congratulations Mandy and Rick!

This past weekend was Mandy's wedding with rehearsal on Thursday and the ceremony on Friday. Everything was beautiful and it was a great time to celebrate with the Zumbiel family. Unfortunately this couple (us) wasn't dancing or drinking since labor is right around the corner (Daddy's on call 24 hours these days.) But the festivities were tons of fun and everything was perfect. Congratulations to the happy couple soaking up the rays in the Mayan Riviera!

Happy Fourth!

Despite the terrible weather, we were still able to celebrate with family and

friends. The day started off visiting our good friends Maria and Brian and meeting their new baby girl Josie! Of course she was absolutely precious and made us that much more excited to finally have our baby in our arms. Congratulations Bozeman's!!

We continued on to the Blaze household where we enjoyed dinner and illegal fireworks in between rain showers thanks to the pyrotechnic skills of Andrew. (The baby was jumping like crazy from the noise!....Next year might bring tears.)

The U.S. History teacher in me cannot help but add this fact. July 4, 1776 is the day we celebrate our Independence from England. However, we did not actually GAIN it until after the American Revolution ended in 1781....for all of you who might need a refresher....can you tell I'm missing my job?

N, N, N with a D. D, D, D with an A. N with a D. D with an A. NDA!
You guessed it! Last night we celebrated our 10 year reunion from Notre Dame. About 45 girls attended and a blast was had by all. It was wonderful to catch up with so many old faces. Many agreed that most people looked the same - except those of us with babies in our bellies! (which was quite a few!) What a wonderful time to see old friends and watch old video yearbooks that many of us had forgotten about. Thanks for the memories girls! -and you can bet that I remember last night since I could not partake in that open bar. Hope you're all feeling good =)
PS - Go Cavs! Check out all those SJS girls! St. Thomas is representing, but sorry stagnes...no shots of you girls.

A Final Shower Thank You!

This past weekend was our 5th and final baby shower. Yes, we know we've been blessed with more baby showers than we deserved. (We've had more than we had for our wedding.) Becky and Sara hosted a "girlfriends" shower perfect with a celebrity baby name game, homemade onesies, and delicious food. (You girls are the GREATEST and thought of everything!) We all had a blast and this baby was set by the time we left. Matt and I couldn't ask for better friends and family to celebrate this time with us. You all are so wonderful - we can't wait for this baby to officially meet you!

Baby Z's Great Aunt Maria hosted a baby shower for us which was of course wonderful! (By the way - Maria is the baby's "aunt" -no Great allowed- b/c we agreed this aunt is too young!) This little babe got to meet second cousin Oliver for the first time (only 3 months old!) and got to hang out with tons of family. A special thanks to Jessica Blaze for flying in from Chicago for us. What a MUCH appreciated surprise! Next time you're in, I'll be a mommy! Thanks again to everyone for your generous gifts. We love them and are so thankful!

Announcing the Amazing Swimming Boxer!

Can you believe this dog?! Indi loves to go swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's. She gets especially excited when her cousin Belle is there to swim with her. It is so funny to watch Indi leap into the pool like this. She actually walks out on the step and then jumps from inside the water.....can you tell we're ready for kids?

The baby's room is ALMOST ready. Just some last minute organization of the bookshelf and changing table and of course decorations for the wall. We'll probably wait on some of those until we know if it's a boy or girl.
Thanks again to everyone who has been so generous in giving gifts to our little baby in preparation for his or her precious life with us!
