Heeeey Macarena!
Anna's newest position is "sitting up." She loves to be in an upright position. We propped her up against the couch pillows and let her just chill out. She was so content and really loved it! We captured a lot of pictures because her expressions were just too cute to resist. Hence, we caught her doing the Macarena.

Happy Birthday Indi!
Indi celebrated her 3rd birthday on September 14. She celebrated by eating "Frosty Paws" ice cream with her cousins Belle, Bitsy, and Benny. In Drew and Anita's words..."Indi has not taken a back seat yet." This picture captured a sweet moment shared between sisters ~ with much caution of course!

Hypno Hotties and Their Hypno-Babies
This class was a blessing for so many reasons. Not only did it create friendships that have carried over to weekly play dates (Blue Manatee Children's Bookstore above), but it created a bonding with our babies that we were so fortunate to experience. Hypnobirthing emphasizes pre-parenting in which you practice visualizations with your baby everyday and do specific "bonding" exercises with Daddy too. Hypnobaby studies find that these babies typically are more alert, have higher birth weights, are less likely to be born pre-term, sleep well, and have excellent temperments. All of these are true with Anna and we feel so blessed!
I Found My Thumb Again...
When Anna was in Mommy's belly, I could always feel the same movement near my pelvic bone. At that time, her head was down so Matt decided she was probably a thumb sucker and was moving her hand up and down. When she was born, she would go for her fist early on and then quit since we always kept her hands wrapped up in the "mittens". At 5 1/2 weeks, she found that little thumb during tummy time (of course I caught it on camera above). This morning I caught her sucking it while she slept and it was sweet soothing for her.
A Baby Changes Everything....
Wow! It truly does. You think you'll live life the same but just with an added bonus and then it hits you that it will never be the same again. And I would never want to go back to that now knowing what I know...
This beautiful little Anna is the most precious gift. She has taught me to slow down and live each day one moment at a time. Cleaning doesn't matter, laundry doesn't matter, blogging doesn't matter...it changes your perspective pretty quickly and keeps your focus where it really should be. You cannot describe the love you have for your baby ~ it is unbelievable...
So with that, many apologies for the 2 week delay (sorry Stacie!) and thank you for watching so patiently.
