Let's face it. As the years have gone by since I began this blog, I have become consumed with a few more important things in my life. This blog was started in Spring 2007 to welcome our first child and it has slowly proven the fact that subsequent children definitely get less keepsakes recorded for them. However, I would argue that the second child Megan has actually gotten more valuable time than Anna did. While I was busy sharing her first tooth, first smile, first laugh, first clap and everything else monumental with the world wide web, she was off by herself sitting in her Bumbo seat or something with no attention from me. Heck, she probably did some "firsts" that I missed because I was too busy searching for and uploading pictures to my blog for 90 minutes.

Megan, on the other hand, has always gotten full attention from me. It's a technicality that it came for the first 12 or so months simply out of protection since I had to keep her safe from her big sister Anna only 18 months older. Then the second year brought lots of entertaining from Mommy to keep both girls happy and busy. Any free chance I got, AKA "nap time," had to be spent doing my Mommy duties around the house. A quick trip to the basement to write on my blog and search for my cutest pictures to display for all of our blog fans became a luxury and something I just couldn't justify.

Now that Megan is in her third year, can protect herself and has a best friend playmate in her big sister Anna, I am too exhausted with pregnancy number three to EVER make time for this blog (Surprise! I just told you I'm 31 weeks pregnant in some random blog update. See, this poor baby didn't even get a proper blog posting to announce his or her miracle of life).

With all that being said, I may or may not do a good job on the Zumbiel Family Album, but I love my family dearly, do all kinds of wonderful blog-worthy events with them, and have a TON of pictures to prove it....You just might never see those pictures or hear the stories :)

I'll try to post some things we've been up to since...oh...Christmas??? Oops!
