"Mommy, Baaah-ble"

Matthew and Kasey got Megan a gift for her Baptism called the Busy Bible. It's this great fabric book with all kinds of hands-on activities by which children can learn bible stories. You can unzip Jonah from the whale's mouth; you button Joseph's colorful coat; you can snap fish into the net; you can play with King Solomon's $50 bills (yes, King Solomon had Ulysses S. Grant on his money). Anna absolutely loves it and tries to pull it out of Megan's room to play with any chance she gets. She likes to ask for it by name and she will say "Mommy, Baaah-ble" while dragging out the first syllable. This is probably one of my favorite things to hear Anna say for two reasons-because she wants to play with the Bible (our good little Christian girl!) and also because we get to hear a sweet little Kentucky 'twang'. I tried to capture it on video but it's very soft so you need to know what you're listening for.

Some great Megan smiles....

A sweet moment caught on film...This is where Anna learned to be such a good big sister.

Great form Megan! You almost have it!

Happy little Megs after an afternoon of swimming

Happy 30 Jennifer!
Well, it was last week (14th). For those wondering, nothing too exciting was planned. However, we may have an adults only (woo-hoo!) 30th birthday party sometime in September to celebrate mine and Matt's (his was February 3, one week after Megan was born). Anna loves birthdays and it was really cute because she would randomly tell me happy birthday throughout the day. She especially loved the birthday cake and helping me blow out the candles.

Can't resist the bathtime pictures!

Best Friends
Megan is officially sitting now which is very conducive for good playtime. This means that Anna views her more as a playmate and a little friend. It's very cute to watch them interact and of course watch Megan sometimes get bullied by her big sister. All in all, the last few weeks have brought some great growth for the girls as their sisterly bond grows. Here are some cute moments caught on film...Check out Anna's face in the Bengals pictures. She starts out innocent. She then leans in for the strike and her evil little smile creeps on that precious little face. Oh that Anna....poor Megs.

Here are a few more pictures from Anna's birthday and a video below. Yes, I did let my child play in the virus infested ball pit at an interactive-learning-Chuck-E-Cheese-type-place called Totter's Otterville. Believe me, I was pretty much grossed out the whole time. But, Anna had a blast. She was so funny to watch. That's all that matters, right?
